As you guys know, I am a big fangirl of Draper James! Their looks are timeless and classic while always staying trendy too. The fabric is always well made and I can tell that my pieces will last
I took some Draper James with me on several trips this summer and wanted to share my round-up of favorites! Ready to go travel?!
Nantucket
First up is Nantucket! This July Cameron and I visited Nantucket and we were able to catch the warm weather and the beautiful hydrangeas in bloom. I wore the Tie Waist Peasant Dress in Embroidered Stripe and it kept me cool all day! I love how this dress flows and how light it is on.

I paired this dress with the Pearl and Stone Hoop earrings and the Knot Headband in Chambray!

For swimwear on this trip, I wore the Bandeau One Piece Swimsuit in Raspberry with the Tasseled Sarong in Raspberry. The sarong is great because you can use it as a wrap around your waist or you can even wear it as a dress. I wore the Flannery sunglasses (LOVE these sunnies!!) with the Knotted Headband in Raspberry. Pair that with your gingham towel and you’ve got the cutest ensemble for a beach day! If I’m honest, I am not a fan of swimsuit season. Dealing with my own insecurities of body image is hard, so the idea of showing up on the internet in a bathing suit kinda scared me. But I kept going back to thinking how much I appreciate it when girls share curve-friendly swimwear. Finding flattering bathing suits is hard and I know I’ll be coming back to Draper James time and time again for their new patterns and looks!
Newport, Rhode Island
This June for my birthday we visited Newport, Rhode Island. I love visiting the Newport mansions and am a member there! I always love to walk through the old homes and gardens and find inspiration. For this trip, I wore the Reba Flutter Wrap Dress in Gingham Seersucker and am so in love! I can’t get over the fit on this one as it ties in just the right spot. Again, this was a great summer dress as it was lightweight and flowed as I walked around the museums and gardens.

For drinks, we went to Castle Hill Inn and watched the boats go by as we sat on the lawn. I love this spot so much and If you haven’t done this yet – please add this to your list of must-do Newport things!

I think it’s important to show you that I genuinely am wearing this clothing out on a day full of activities. These are the comfiest dresses and you can indeed travel and look nice while doing it!
Mystic, Connecticut
This June Cameron and I visited one of our favorite Connecticut towns, Mystic, and stayed at the beloved Whalers Inn in downtown. I wrote a blog post on this trip and you can read all about it here!

This dress is the Puff Sleeve Babydoll Dress in Magnolia and it’s been a favorite this summer! I was a little worried it would be too tight on me so I ordered my normal size, but I will say it’s a looser fit so you can size down one if you want a more fitted look! It’s super comfortable and the material is lovely. I paired this with the Straw Tote (I’m so obsessed you will love this tote!) and used it all day for walking around downtown and out for dinner that evening. It was fun to wear a floral pattern whole the blooms were out!
Another thing that I’ve been wearing a ton this year is loungewear! It’s fun bringing cute PJ’s on trips and especially when the fabric is as soft as butter! I have several PJs from Draper James and wear them all the time – they are the best for those days you just want to stay in your jammies!

A few favorites of there’s are the Sara Pajama in Awning Stripe (see below!) and the Linda Pajama Set!

Aruba
Cameron and I went to Aruba for the first time this July for a family trip! It was such an incredible island and we really fell in love with the kind hospitality of the locals and of course the amazing beaches!

For Aruba, I brought both of my Bandeau One Piece Swimsuit‘s as I love how these fit! We were in the pool or ocean every single day so I pretty much lived in these! They are very flattering and good about holding you in! I prefer a fit that keeps me secure up top as well and I felt like I could even take the removable straps off and still be just fine. I am wearing a 16X in both swimsuits!
I paired this swimsuit with the Long Sleeve Utility Tunic as a cover-up and loved how it enhanced this swimsuit! It flows well and if it’s a little chilly or you’re a bit worried about too much soon, it’s a good alternative to have with you!

I wore the Flannery sunglasses on this trip and legitimately brought this Open Top Tote with me everywhere. It’s sturdy and if it gets wet, It won’t be damaged. It was perfect for bringing books, water bottles, and sunscreen with me to the beach and pool.

So there you have it! My summer favorites from the amazing Draper James! If you’re looking for some lovely summer dresses and swimwear – I can’t recommend them enough.
