There’s just something about a beautiful charcuterie board that makes you want to sip some wine, sit down and enjoy good conversation and eats.

This Thanksgiving Cameron and I are keeping it low-key and are having my two step-sisters over to join us for festivities at home. The rest of our family is back home in California and we always miss them a little extra (okay a lotta) over the holidays. Cam and I both have a love for good wine (we are from California after all 😉 ) and paired with some delicious cheeses and meats, it’s like a party in your mouth.

This year I wanted to make our charcuterie board colorful and festive. I fell in love with this nautical-inspired board from Wren Home. It’s amazing quality, super cute, and something that I know I’ll have in my kitchen for years. Wren Home also has great monogramming options! I went with Cam and my initials.:) Use Code MINDY20 for a 20% off discount!

One of my favorite spots for cheeses is Trader Joes. I love to look through all of their options and pick and choose different ones for us to try. They also have a really nice cracker selection as well! For this specific board I went with some gouda, brie and cheddar. I did a cracker mix from TJ’s that had lots of different options in the pack. Then I added in some large seedless grapes for a sweet option. I am not a big meat eater – but when I entertain for more than just us I do like to include different meats as well to liven it up!

Now lets talk garnishes…this is always my favorite part. I genuinely think that the presentation of your board is what always gets people intrigued and wanting to graze more on the options. For this specific try I grabbed the following:
- Mums from the garden
- Cotton
- Pine cones
- Small white pumpkins from TJ’s
- rosemary pieces
- cheese knives
I knew that I wanted to make this one pop for Thanksgiving so I added in lots of yellows and reds variations to give it an autumnal feel.

For Christmas, you can play with the garneshes to make it more holiday-themed! For example, I would put in pinecones, pine tree sprigs, pomegranates, and berries.
I can’t wait to use this Wren Home board more during the holidays.Use Code MINDY20 for a 20% off discount!
